Hogan Lovells Advises Brookfield Infrastructure on €1 Billion Acquisition of OHL Brazil

Hogan Lovells is advising Brookfield Infrastructure on its acquisition, together with Abertis Infrastructure, for consideration in excess of €1bn, of the controlling stake in Obrascon Huarte Lain Brasil, S.A. (OHL Brazil), one of Brazil’s major toll road operators.

OHL Brazil, which is listed on the Sao Paulo stock exchange, operates several of the major toll road concessions in Brazil, including some of Brazil’s most important motorways.

The completion of the transaction is subject to clearance from the relevant regulatory authorities and certain other third party consents.

The transaction marks the first investment in the Brazilian road sector by Brookfield.
