Field Fisher Waterhouse advises JSC KazMunaiGas Exploration Production on another oil and gas deal.
Field Fisher Waterhouse LLP has advised long-standing client, KazMunaiGas Exploration Production JSC on the sale of 49% of its shares in Karpovskiy Severniy JSC to MOL Hungarian Oil and Gas Plc.
KazMunaiGas Exploration Production will form a joint venture with MOL to conduct further exploration activities on the Karpovskiy Severniy exploration block which is located 40km northwest of Uralsk in Kazakhstan. This will allow KazMunaiGas to share exploration risks and financial obligations with MOL.
Corporate partner Alex Woodfield and associate Nodir Sidikov led on the deal, assisted by partners Nick Pimlott(Competition & EU Regulatory) and Andrew Prowse (Tax), and solicitor, Mikhail Basisty.
