Renowned German Employment Lawyer Georg Annuss Joins Linklaters

Professor Dr Georg Annuss, one of Germany’s leading employment lawyers, will shortly join Linklaters as a partner in its Munich office. He is expected to join Linklaters on 1 August 2012, from the German law firm Noerr.

Dr Carl-Peter Feick, Linklaters’ German senior partner, said:

“We are very pleased to reinforce our integrated German practice as well as our successful employment team with one of the leading advisers in the market, who will give renewed impetus to our employment law team. Georg Annuss’s expertise is an ideal complement to our corporate client business.”

Dr Georg Annuss said:

“After more than six successful years with Noerr, which were very good years for me, I am looking forward to further strengthening the German employment practice of one of the leading global law firms with particular regard to restructuring and top-level advice provided to companies.”

After graduating from law school, Dr Georg Annuss first embarked on an academic career at the University of Regensburg, Germany, where he earned his doctorate in 1997. The previous year, he had started his professional career working for an international law firm in Düsseldorf. A number of sustainable relations with Linklaters’ corporate practice in Düsseldorf were established during that time. In 2004, he moved to Munich and became a professor at the University of Regensburg, where, besides working as a lawyer, he now teaches civil law, employment law and social law.

As an expert in employment law, service contract law, reorganisation law and co-determination law, he is the author of numerous publications and lectures. In addition, he is a member of the Labour Law Group of the German Bar Association, the German Lawyers’ Association and the German Labour Court Association.
