Linklaters has acted as international counsel to Aggreko in a ground-breaking scheme involving the construction and operation of an interim power plant supplying power to Eskom, the South African power company and Electricidade de Moçambique (EDM), the Mozambique power utility.
The total value of the project is approximately US $250m over two years.
Linklaters’ team was led by Andrew Jones in London and Francisco Ferraz de Carvalho in Lisbon. Webber Wentzel provided South African law advice and Couto, Graça e Associados Limitada (CGA) provided Mozambican law advice on the project.
