Arnold & Porter LLP has advised the Government of Kenya on a $600 million term loan facility arranged by Standard Chartered Bank, Citibank and The Standard Bank of South Africa Limited. The transaction, signed on 15 May 2012, was Kenya’s first international syndicated loan. “This is an important milestone for the Republic of Kenya and we are delighted to have assisted the Republic with this debut international transaction” said Arnold & Porter partner Whitney Debevoise.
