Thomas Jensen Joins Holland & Hart’s Energy, Environment, and Natural Resources Practice

Holland & Hart LLP is pleased to announce the addition of Washington, D.C. partner Thomas Jensen to the firm’s Energy, Environment, and Natural Resources practice.

Described recently by former Senator Bill Bradley as “the most creative, energetic and knowledgeable natural resource and energy lawyer [he] had ever met,” Jensen is nationally recognized in natural resources and environmental law, having served as counsel to the U.S. Senate Committee on Energy and Natural Resources and White House Council on Environmental Quality.

“Tom is the go-to lawyer in Washington DC for the most complex natural resource and environmental issues,” said Kelly Johnson, the firm’s Energy, Environment, and Natural Resources practice group leader. “He’s delivered great successes for his clients, on Capitol Hill and in the White House. He’s truly a powerhouse in this field. We are delighted he’s joined us.”

Jensen’s practice is defined by service to the developers of innovative, challenging energy projects and first-ever environmental initiatives. He represents power companies building transmission lines across sensitive public lands, and pipelines facing siting challenges across the country. He helps clients from all sectors of the economy design and complete major Environmental Impact Statements on controversial infrastructure and development projects.

Mr. Jensen has attained the highest rating for professional ethics and expertise by Martindale-Hubbell. He is a member of the Washington, D.C., Oregon and Energy Bar Associations, and a senior advisor to the William D. Ruckelshaus Institute for Environment and Natural Resources of the University of Wyoming.
