Two specialists in international trade, Harry Clark and Clark McFadden, have been brought on board by the Washington D.C. branch of historic law firm Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe L.L.P.
Clark, who will be a partner in the firm, has a wide span of expertise ranging from government contracting regulations and U.S. Treasury Department economic sanctions to anti-money laundering.
He is also the former co-head of Dewey’s International Trade Practice Group.
McFadden will be taking the position of senior counsel at Orrick. He has a broad background in both litigation and foreign affairs. McFadden has also worked with and for both the U.S. Department of Defense and the National Security Council as well as Congress.
Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe itself began in San Francisco in 1863, giving it an admirable history of longevity and growth. Today Orrick hosts over 1,100 lawyers in 23 international offices from Los Angeles to Moscow.
Considering Orrick’s size and reputation, it’s likely that the firm will continue its attorney recruitment with an eye for international law. Firms such as Orrick provide excellent opportunities for both new and experienced lawyers looking to expand their practice beyond the U.S. or specialize in overseas trade.
