The global law firm Jones Day announced today that Dan Coppel has joined the Firm’s London Office as a partner in the Mergers & Acquisitions Practice. He joins Jones Day from the London office of Dewey & LeBoeuf.
Mr. Coppel advises both investment banks and corporations on mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, restructurings, investment funds, and general corporate and commercial matters. He also has significant experience with investments in emerging markets and has a particular focus on transactions involving Russia and the natural resources sector.
“Dan is a great addition to our M&A Practice here in London,” said John Phillips, Partner-in-Charge of Jones Day’s London Office. “His depth of experience in energy and natural resources deals, particularly in the Russian market, will serve as a great asset to our clients. We expect him to work closely with our global Energy Practice team, as well as with the lawyers in our Moscow Office.”

Mr. Coppel received his diploma in Legal Practice from the College of Law, Chester in 1995 and an LL.B. from the University of Leeds in 1994. He is a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of England and Wales and a member of the New York Bar.
