The law firm of Edwards Wildman Palmer UK LLP is pleased to announce that Mark Deem, a respected commercial litigation lawyer, has joined the firm as a partner in its growing London office.
Deem has impressive experience in complex domestic and cross-border commercial litigation, as well as international arbitration and regulatory matters. He focuses his practice on disputes involving data, technology, telecommunications, and outsourcing, among other areas. He has represented clients in disputes before the High Court, Court of Appeal, Supreme Court, and European Court of Justice. Additionally, he has provided counsel to clients in international arbitration proceedings and all forms of alternative dispute resolution. He comes to Edwards Wildman from Addleshaw Goddard, where he was a partner.
“Mark is a strong addition to our growing and well-regarded litigation group in London,” said Nick Bolter, the partner in charge of Edwards Wildman’s London office. “Increasingly, our clients have come to us for help in technology and telecommunications disputes, and with his background in those areas, Mark fills an immediate need. We’re delighted to welcome him to the firm.”
Deem will further bolster the firm’s capabilities in technology and telecommunications matters after the arrival of Richard Graham in 2011, who specialises in technology, media and telecommunications matters and strategic outsourcing transactions, and Geoff Mendelsohn in 2012, who specialises in complex and high-value technology disputes. Deem is the third partner to join Edwards Wildman’s London office in 2012, following the addition of eight new partners in 2011. Edwards Wildman now has more than 100 fee earners in the UK, covering 10 practice areas.
