Womble Carlyle – Top Attorneys Join Corporate & Securities Practice Group

Womble Carlyle continues to diversify and strengthen its Corporate & Securities Practice Group with the additions of partner Andrew Gerber and associate Janet Lowder. Gerber and Lowder are based in Womble’s Charlotte office and have been serving clients together for several years, most recently at K&L Gates.

Gerber’s practice is focused on public securities work, including representation of issuers and underwriters in public and private offerings of equity and debt securities, , periodic reporting and compliance under the Securities Exchange Act of 1934, NYSE and NASDAQ listing compliance and corporate governance matters. He has significant experience representing energy companies and underwriters in offerings by publicly traded REITs. Gerber began his career in the Division of Corporation Finance at the SEC in Washington DC where he was a Special Counsel and Staff Attorney. He holds JD and BS degrees from the University of Maryland and is admitted in both North Carolina and Maryland.

Lowder has experience in both public and private securities offerings, periodic reporting and compliance under the Securities Exchange Act of 1934, corporate governance matters, mergers and acquisitions and general corporate matters. She received a B.A. from Furman University and her JD from UNC Chapel Hill and is admitted in both North Carolina and Virginia.
