Herbert Smith LLP announced today the recruitment of Frédéric Bouvet, a highly regarded corporate law practitioner, who will today be joining the firm’s Paris office as a partner in its corporate practice.
Frédéric joins from White & Case’s Paris office where he has been a partner since 2007.
Frédéric has notable experience in mergers and acquisitions, securities law and private equity. He has represented many French and international companies (both public and private) on a variety of corporate transactions, in particular cross-border transactions; he also has significant experience of international capital markets transactions, including IPOs.
In his new role at Herbert Smith, Frédéric will focus on advising French and international clients on their M&A and capital markets transactions.
Corporate head of Herbert Smith Paris, Bruno Basuyaux, commented:
“We are delighted that Frédéric is joining our team. His recruitment will boost our already fast-developing practice in Paris, and complement our existing strengths in Europe, Asia, Russia and the Middle East. Frédéric will be based in Paris, but will work closely with other partners across our international network. We know that he will be a great fit with our culture and our ambitions, and we are really looking forward to Frédéric joining us.”
Herbert Smith’s global corporate head, James Palmer, said:
“Over the past few years our Paris office has successfully developed a very strong corporate team. Further development of our Paris practice is a strategic priority for the firm, and the recruitment of Frédéric will strengthen our client offering and reinforce our reputation as a key player in the French market.”
