Ashurst has appointed Nicolas Bonnefoy as partner in its global energy team.
Joining from the London office of Gide Loyrette Nouel, Nicolas has wide ranging energy and resources experience with particular expertise in the oil and gas and mining sectors. His practice has a strong focus on Africa where he advises sponsors, lenders, governments and national resource companies on the structuring and implementation of energy deals across the key jurisdictions in this fast growing market.
Prior to Gide, Nicolas worked at Ernst & Young in various locations in West Africa and in London. He is both French and English qualified.
Nicolas will be based in London and will be a core member of Ashurst’s Africa group, a global team that brings together the extensive regional experience of the lawyers to service clients’ needs in the region.
