International law firm Dechert LLP announced today that Simon Briggs will join the firm’s London office as a partner in the Corporate & Securities practice as of 8 May. He was previously a partner at Dewey & LeBoeuf and worked closely with members of the firm’s new emerging markets team that joined Dechert from Dewey last month.
Simon advises national and international clients from a wide variety of sectors on both public and private mergers and acquisitions, structuring joint ventures and capital markets transactions.
Said Douglas Getter, head of Dechert’s corporate and securities practice in the United Kingdom: “We are delighted to welcome Simon to Dechert. He is a talented corporate lawyer who represents a welcome addition to the firm and his practice naturally complements those of our other recently elected London corporate partners Camille Abousleiman and Louise Roman Bernstein”.
Said Simon: “I am excited to be joining a dynamic and expanding firm such as Dechert. It offers an excellent platform for my practice and I am certain my clients will be well-served by this move”.
