International law firm Stephenson Harwood has appointed Andrew Hill and Paul Hayward-Surry as partners in the real estate group. Both partners join from SNR Denton.
Andrew Hill was joint head of the London real estate finance practice at SNR Denton. Andrew was head of Denton’s real estate sector between 2006 and 2009. He specialises in coordinating acquisition, development and investment financing transactions for banks, major corporates, investors and financial institutions. He also has extensive experience in tax-based real estate structures, restructurings and work-outs in the real estate sector. Andrew has recently acted for The Royal Bank of Scotland, HSBC Bank plc, Stonegate Pub Company and The Ambassador Theatre Group Limited.
Paul Hayward-Surry was a partner in the real estate group at SNR Denton and has broad experience of real estate finance transactions such as acquisitions, disposals and landlord and tenant matters, working on behalf of banks, investors, landlords and tenants. In addition, Paul also advises on the real estate aspects of restructuring and insolvency work and the finance side of social housing. He has recently acted for RBS’s West Register, Lloyds Banking Group, Eurohypo AG, PwC and BNP Paribas.
