A law firm with international interests has brought on new blood to its offices in Pittsburgh, according to a press release.

Jeffrey J. Bresch joins the Western Pennsylvania offices of Jones Day and will serve as a partner in the business and tort litigation practice. His specialties include energy, intellectual property and trade secrets and general commercial litigation, among additional areas of law.

“Jeff is a terrific and important addition to our litigation practice, especially as we continue to grow Jones Day’s capabilities throughout the Midwest,” said partner Lyle Ganske, who oversees Midwest offices’ functioning, which could include legal recruiting. “His experience and qualifications in West Virginia are one example of the immense value he’ll provide to our substantial client base in the Midwest region … especially those involved in its energy renaissance. He has a significant role to play in these activities and we’re delighted he’s joined us.”

Bresch often lectures about technology and the law crossing paths and is admitted to practice law in Pennsylvania and West Virginia.

While earning his law degree at the Duquesne School of Law, Bresch was the editor-in-chief of the school’s law review.
