Jones Day expands London Banking & Finance Practice with addition of Dominic O’Brien

Jones Day is pleased to announce the arrival of Dominic O’Brien as a partner in the London Office effective April 16, 2012. Mr. O’Brien, a Banking & Finance Practice partner, joins Jones Day from Addleshaw Goddard and advises banks and other financial institutions on corporate financings and project financings. A significant part of his career was spent in the Far East with Clifford Chance. Mr. O’Brien’s experience includes advising on leveraged, acquisition, and project finance with particular emphasis on the emerging markets. In addition, while at Herbert Smith, he advised on many Islamic financings.

“I am delighted that Dominic will be joining the Firm later this month,” said John Phillips, Jones Day London Partner-in-Charge. “He is a talented finance partner experienced in advising lenders, borrowers, and financial advisers on a wide range of event driven financings and general corporate financings. He has broad experience in cross border leveraged finance and project finance. His appointment reflects our continuing commitment to strengthening our banking and finance offering in London and across Europe and follows the recent appointment of Drew Salvest, the Head of DCM at Mayer Brown. This exciting period of growth at Jones Day in London is going to continue.”
