The Pittsburgh office of global law firm K&L Gates LLP welcomes Andrew J. Kozusko III as a partner in its intellectual property litigation practice. Previously an associate at Kirkpatrick & Lockhart (now K&L Gates), he most recently practiced at Duane Morris LLP.
With substantial experience both in-house and as private counsel, Kozusko concentrates his practice on the representation of generic pharmaceutical companies in Abbreviated New Drug Application (ANDA) litigation under the U.S.’s Hatch-Waxman Act. A registered patent lawyer, he also counsels domestic and international clients, including those in the pharmaceutical, life science, and nanotechnology sectors, on patent litigation, advice, and prosecution matters.
“We are delighted to have Andy join K&L Gates,” said Carolyn M. Branthoover, Administrative Partner of K&L Gates’ Pittsburgh office. “His IP litigation background and his particular experience in ANDA litigation adds strength in a strategically important area of growth for the firm. Andy will be a valuable resource to our pharmaceutical clients on a national and international scale.”
