Polsinelli Shughart continues its growth with the addition of real estate attorneys Ronald R. Dietrich and Eric G. Greenfield as shareholders. Both are highly recognized and experienced in sophisticated real estate matters. Dietrich focuses on real estate finance, while Greenfield concentrates on real estate development transactions. They bring highly developed legal skills to the firm and handle a broad base of transactions, domestically and cross-border.

Dietrich has 30 years of experience in all aspects of sophisticated financing and transactional real estate, including representation of lenders, borrowers, owners, developers and tenants. His work covers all asset classes, including gaming, hotels, health care, self storage, multifamily, office, sports facilities and industrial. Lenders represented include life companies, private equity funds and traditional lenders. He also represents clients internationally in Latin America and Australia.

Greenfield focuses on structuring, negotiating and documenting of all aspects of commercial real estate transactions including acquisition, finance, leasing and disposition of office, retail, industrial and warehouse assets. A strong focus of his practice is campus housing throughout the U.S. In addition, he has experience in construction financing for offices, hotels, apartments, condominiums and mixed-use projects. He regularly represents clients in Latin America as well.

Dietrich earned his J.D., cum laude, from Loyola University Chicago School of Law in 1982, and his B.A., from Northwestern University in 1979. He has been selected for inclusion as a Leading Leader from 2009 to 2012. He is admitted to practice in Illinois.
Greenfield earned his J.D., magna cum laude, from the University of Illinois College of Law in 2003 where he was a Harno Scholar, and his B.S. from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2000. He is admitted to practice in Illinois and before the U.S. District Court, Northern District of Illinois.
Both have received high rankings from Chambers and have been honored with the 2010 Chambers and Partners USA Award for Excellence in Real Estate (Team). Greenfield has been selected for inclusion in Super Lawyers Rising Stars, 2009-2012.
