Former U.S. Chamber Regulatory Counsel Joins Dinsmore

Reed D. Rubinstein, former Senior Counsel and Regulatory Committee Executive at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, has joined Dinsmore’s Washington, D.C. office. He joins the firm as a partner in the Corporate Department, focusing his practice on regulatory and federal advocacy matters.

“Reed’s knowledge of federal agencies, Congress and the D.C. market bring significant value to the firm,” said George Vincent, managing partner of Dinsmore. “His more than 25 years of experience in the regulatory industry, including work with Fortune 500 companies, make him a valuable asset to Dinsmore and our clients.”
As the U.S. Chamber’s Senior Counsel for environment, technology and regulatory affairs, Rubinstein worked closely with leading domestic and multinational companies, trade associations, Congress and federal agencies on critical regulatory, environmental, FDA and agricultural issues.
When asked why he decided to join the firm, Rubinstein responded, “Dinsmore’s outstanding reputation, strong and diverse client base, and highly competitive fee structure provide a solid foundation for development of a vibrant D.C. federal advocacy practice. The firm’s substantive excellence, its unique geographic footprint, and its no-nonsense culture all provide a competitive advantage in a legal services market that often costs companies too much, but delivers too little in the way of real results.”
Prior to joining the U.S. Chamber, Rubinstein served as a shareholder in the Washington D.C. office of Greenberg Traurig, LLP, where he practiced environmental and administrative law, litigation, corporate and real estate law. He is regularly published and has spoken around the world on topics including regulatory trends, federal incentives for clean and alternative technologies, and occupational health regulations. Rubinstein earned his J.D., M.A. and B.A. from the University of Michigan.
