Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer advises United Parcel Service, Inc. (UPS) on its recommended all-cash offer of EUR 9.50 per ordinary TNT Express share.

The transaction was announced on Monday 19 March 2012 and values TNT Express at approximately EUR 5.16 billion. It will create a global leader in the logistics industry with more than EUR 45 billion in annual revenues and an enhanced, integrated global network. 

Corporate partners Jan Willem van der Staay and Alexander Doorman (both in the Amsterdam office) lead the team. The team includes corporate associates Hanneke Rothbarth, Marike Kuin and David Wakkie, antitrust specialists Winfred Knibbeler and Ben Graham, Alan Ryan and Peter Schepens, Machiel Lambooij and Job van der Pol (both tax) and Brechje Nollen and Désirée Kemperink (both employment).
