Barnes & Thornburg LLP announced today that Nancy L. Schimmel has joined the firm’s Chicago office as a partner in the Corporate Department. Schimmel was previously a partner in the Chicago office of Greenberg Traurig, LLP.
Schimmel brings more than 30 years of knowledge and technical experience in securitizations and complex financial transactions, including restructuring transactions. Her experience covers trade, health care, loan and lease receivable securitizations, installment timberland purchases and a variety of other structured financings and letters of credit. Schimmel’s practice includes a background in secured and unsecured working capital and leveraged acquisition financings, as well as high-yield bridge and debtor-in-possession financings.
