McDermott Gears Up for Growing White-Collar Client Demand

International law firm McDermott Will & Emery LLP announced today that it has named Jennifer R. Taylor as a partner in its White-Collar & Securities Defense practice group, based in the Firm’s Washington, D.C. office. Ms. Taylor brings an insider’s perspective to the Firm, having served in the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) for over seven years, including the last five years as a federal prosecutor in the Fraud Section of the Criminal Division handling securities, bank and procurement fraud and investigations under the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA).

Ms. Taylor also adds to McDermott’s strong trial capabilities in Washington.  While at the DOJ, she tried eighteen separate cases and took over twenty-five individuals through trial to verdict . In her role as a lead prosecutor, Ms. Taylor directed complex investigations and prosecutions of senior executives, publicly traded companies, and financial institutions for securities fraud, insider trading, procurement fraud and corruption, mail fraud, wire fraud, bank fraud, money laundering, and FCPA violations. She also received two prestigious awards for excellence from The Council of Inspectors General on Integrity and Efficiency for her work at DOJ.

In addition to her time at the DOJ, Ms. Taylor served as a trial attorney for the National Labor Relations Board’s Division of Enforcement in Washington, D.C. where she handled dozens of cases in the U.S. Courts of Appeals and also as an associate in private practice at another AmLaw 50 law firm.  She received her J.D. from West Virginia University School of Law, Order of Coif, and served as Executive Articles Editor of the Law Review.
