White-Collar Litigation Partner Amy Conway-Hatcher Joins Kaye Scholer’s D.C. Office

Litigator and former Assistant US Attorney Amy Conway-Hatcher today joined Kaye Scholer as a White Collar Litigation and Internal Investigations Partner in Kaye Scholer’s Washington, D.C. office.

“We are delighted to have Amy join the former federal and state prosecutors in our white-collar litigation team. Her strong background in government and internal investigations, particularly relating to advising clients on the Foreign Corrupt Practice Act (FCPA), securities fraud and healthcare fraud, complements Kaye Scholer’s growing practice in these important areas. Amy’s experience and enthusiasm makes it very easy to understand why clients like and respect her so much,” said Kaye Scholer Partner Michael Rogoff, Chair of the firm’s White-Collar Litigation and Internal Investigation group and Co-Chair of Kaye Scholer’s Commercial Litigation practice.
Formerly a Partner at Morgan Lewis, Conway-Hatcher represents clients involved in complex and sensitive corporate internal investigations, as well as criminal and civil enforcement matters before the US Department of Justice, US Attorney’s Offices, the Securities and Exchange Commission and other federal and state regulators.  She also regularly counsels clients, including boards of directors, audit committees and corporate level executives on matters related to the development, implementation, evaluation and auditing of internal compliance and ethics programs, as well as compliance issues related to corporate policies, M&A and investment matters and third-party due diligence.
“Amy represents companies and individuals in all phases of investigations and enforcement proceedings, in a range of industries, including life sciences, financial services, and technology – sectors for which Kaye Scholer has long been recognized,” said Kaye Scholer Managing Partner Mike Solow. “A rising star in the FCPA and government investigations arenas, she’s a welcome addition to our D.C. office and the firm’s White Collar team.”
Conway-Hatcher graduated from Catholic University’s Columbus School of Law and clerked for Judge Colleen Kollar-Kotelly before spending six years as an AUSA for the District of Columbia, where she served in an elite trial unit investigating and prosecuting some of the city’s most difficult and high-profile violent crimes, conducted myriad grand jury investigations and served as lead trial counsel in dozens of complex criminal trials. She is admitted to practice in the District of Columbia, Maryland and before the US Supreme Court.
“I am thrilled to be joining Kaye Scholer’s pre-eminent White Collar Litigation and Internal Investigations group to help build upon the extensive experience that Kaye Scholer offers to guide clients through complex legal problems,” said Conway-Hatcher.
