Mayer Brown Expands Banking & Finance Practice in Charlotte with Addition of Perry Hicks as Partner

Mayer Brown, a leading global law firm, announced today that Perry Hicks has joined the firm as a partner in the Banking & Finance practice in Charlotte. Mr. Hicks is moving to Mayer Brown from Katten Muchin Rosenman, where he was a partner in their Charlotte finance practice following six years practicing at Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft.

Mr. Hicks represents domestic and international banks and other financial institutions, export credit agencies and borrowers in syndicated and bilateral secured financing transactions involving businesses in various industries, including energy distribution, commodities, hedge funds, food distribution and real estate development. Additionally, he has significant experience in representing lenders and debtors in connection with restructuring and refinancing existing credit facilities.

Mr. Hicks earned a JD from the University of Virginia School of Law and received a BA from American University.
