The London office of global law firm K&L Gates LLP welcomes Elizabeth Robertson as a partner in its policy & regulatory practice. Robertson joins the firm from Addleshaw Goddard LLP.
With a focus on domestic and international business crime and regulation, Robertson has substantial experience with a variety of business fraud and white-collar matters, including in the areas of corruption, compliance, risk, and money laundering. She has represented governments, individuals, trusts, and corporate clients in numerous high profile investigations in the United Kingdom, Europe, India, and the United States, as well as in proceedings initiated by the Serious Fraud Office, the Financial Services Authority, and other agencies of the British government.
“Hiring someone with Elizabeth’s outstanding market reputation obviously has a special significance for us,” said Tony Griffiths, Administrative Partner of K&L Gates’ London office. “As well as establishing a corporate crime offering and enhancing our regulatory and internal investigations capability in London, her addition also fits perfectly with our market-leading policy holder insurance coverage practice to provide boards of directors with rounded and seamless advice on their risk issues. We are delighted that Elizabeth has joined us.”
Robertson stated: “I was attracted to joining K&L Gates by the exciting opportunity to take my practice to the next level in a genuinely international environment. As regulators and prosecutors are increasingly working together across country boundaries, working within an established international white-collar crime and regulatory practice provides me with the scope to grow further my practice and the services provided to clients.”
