Dilworth Paxson Adds Three New Partners

Dilworth Paxson LLP is pleased to announce that three new partners recently joined the firm.

Rana Jazayerli is Chair of the firm’s new Immigration Practice. Sherry Lowe Johnson is a Partner in the Litigation Department and a member of the Banking and Financial Services Group and Labor and Employment Group. Marc J. Weinstein is a Partner in the Litigation Department and a member of the Corporate Investigations/White Collar Group.

Lead by Jazayerli, Dilworth now offers an immigration practice with a national and international scope. The firm is able to represent employers seeking to hire foreign nationals under immigrant or temporary non-immigrant visa categories, such as H-1Bs and L-1As, and specializes in representing clients seeking immigration to the U.S. through investment under the EB-5 Immigrant Investor visa program. In addition, Jazayerli often advises employers on proper I-9 Form compliance, performing internal audits of an employer’s past I-9 forms to ensure proper compliance and providing counsel and support in the event of an external government audit. An experienced litigator, she has also successfully filed actions in U.S. District Court on behalf of clients experiencing unreasonable delays in the adjudication of their naturalization applications. 
Jazayerli was previously a private practice attorney at her own firm. She will be based in the firm’s Washington D.C. office. 
Lowe Johnson has represented financial institutions and equipment leasing companies regarding troubled loans and leases for more than 19 years. She counsels, advices and strategizes with lenders and lessors on troubled loans and leases for best outcomes, including when it is best to litigate and when it best to restructure and workout troubled commercial credits. She also represents financial institutions in state, federal and bankruptcy courts across the East Coast and part of the Mid-West. Lowe Johnson also represents and counsels companies on employment matters, including employment litigation, policy, and handbook drafting and training. 
Lowe Johnson was previously a partner at the law firm Lamm Rubenstone LLC. She will be based in the firm’s Philadelphia office. 
Weinstein served as lead trial counsel in 45 jury trials and more than 100 non-jury trials in a wide variety of civil and criminal cases in numerous state and federal courts. He represents and counsels companies and individuals in white collar criminal matters and complex civil business disputes throughout the country, with a special emphasis on cases involving fraud. Weinstein also manages and conducts internal and external investigations for corporate and institutional clients. 
Weinstein was previously an associate at Ballard Spahr. He will be based in the firm’s Philadelphia office.
