Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton announced today the addition of Susan Tarnower to the firm’s Real Estate Finance and Capital Markets Team. She joins Kilpatrick Townsend’s Charlotte office as Counsel.

Ms. Tarnower concentrates her practice on commercial real estate. She has extensive experience with loan resolutions, workouts, receiverships and disposition of REO properties as well as securitization and master servicing. Ms. Tarnower also works on agency loans and lending in the multifamily area. She has additional expertise with handling commercial leasing transactions.
Prior to joining Kilpatrick Townsend, Ms. Tarnower worked in private practice for a number of years and gained eight years of experience as in-house counsel for GMAC Commercial Mortgage Corporation and AMRESCO, Inc. She also worked as Assistant General Counsel at the Atlanta Housing Authority, where she gained significant real estate and HUD lending experience.
Ms. Tarnower earned her B.A., cum laude, from the University of South Carolina. She earned her J.D. from Northeastern University School of Law and her M.Ed. in secondary education and history from Clemson University. Ms. Tarnower is a Fellow of the American College of Mortgage Attorneys. She is active as a speaker and writer and was recognized in 2011 by Legal 500 US in the area of real estate.
