Mayer Brown Adds Insurance Industry Litigator G. Richard Dodge, Jr., as Partner in Washington, DC

Mayer Brown, a leading global law firm, announced today that G. Richard Dodge, Jr., has joined the firm as a partner in the Litigation & Dispute Resolution practice and Insurance Industry Group in Washington, DC. Previously, he was a partner with Dewey & LeBoeuf.

Mr. Dodge concentrates his practice on civil litigation, internal investigations and white-collar criminal defense, particularly in the insurance industry. He regularly advises domestic and international clients on corporate governance including complex civil litigations, internal investigations and related parallel proceedings.  He has represented domestic and international companies and individuals under governmental investigation by the US Department of Justice, Securities and Exchange Commission, US Department of Labor, New York Attorney General, Massachusetts Attorney General, Texas Attorney General, Florida Attorney General and numerous other state attorneys general and state insurance departments, including the New York Insurance Department, Illinois Insurance Division, California Department of Insurance and Ohio Department of Insurance.
He also has successfully litigated complex breach of contract actions on behalf of large property/casualty insurers and reinsurers and has successfully defended major insurers and financial services clients in market conduct and consumer fraud class actions, antitrust and RICO class actions, ERISA and securities fraud class actions. In addition, he regularly advises clients on e-discovery and data preservation requirements.
