Littler’s Washington, D.C. and Tysons Corner Offices Land Two New Shareholders Strengthening Firm’s National Class Action Practice

Littler Mendelson, P.C. (Littler), the nation’s largest employment and labor law firm representing management, has added two new shareholders to its Northern Virginia and Washington, D.C. offices.  Michael McIntosh joins in Tysons Corner and William Allen will reside in the Washington, D.C. office. The addition of McIntosh and Allen follows the recent arrival of Joshua Waxman, who joined as a shareholder in the firm’s Washington, D.C. office.  All three are former attorneys at Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP. They bring extensive class action litigation experience to the firm.

“We are excited to welcome Mike to our expanding Northern Virginia office in addition to Bill in Washington, D.C. Their expertise will be invaluable as we continue our strategic growth throughout the greater Washington, D.C. and Northern Virginia metropolitan area,” said Tom Flaherty, office managing shareholder of Littler’s Tysons Corner office. “Our Tysons Corner office will certainly benefit from Mike’s wage and hour class action and appellate litigation experience making him a key asset to the firm’s clients both regionally and nationally.”
Nancy Delogu, office managing shareholder of the Washington, D.C. office added, “These attorneys augment Littler’s nationally-recognized class action group.  We have a comprehensive practice that includes more than 200 attorneys and we have defended clients in over 900 class actions in the last six years alone. The additions of Mike and Bill, along with the recent arrival of Josh, will further our resources as we continue to successfully represent clients in these complex cases.”
McIntosh focuses his practice on representing clients before state and federal courts and administrative agencies in matters involving a number of federal and state statues, including the Fair Labor Standards Act, the National Labor Relations Act, the Occupational Safety and Health Act, and anti-discrimination laws.
He received his B.A., cum laude, from Georgetown University and his J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law.
With a primary focus on complex and class action labor and employment litigation, Allen has represented a variety of clients in connection with state and federal class action litigation involving many aspects of wage and hour matters.  Additionally, he has handled a number of individual wage and hour and Title VII/ADA matters. Allen has also represented clients in complex unfair labor practice and compliance matters before the National Labor Relations Board.  Allen also served as associate counsel in the Office of House Employment Counsel of the U.S. House of Representatives.
Allen received his J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law, and his M.B.A. and B.S. from the University of Virginia.
