Polsinelli Shughart welcomes David P. Vallas to the firm as shareholder where he will practice in the Financial Services department. Vallas focuses his practice on creditor’s rights, bankruptcy, and real estate and general commercial litigation. His clients include large regional shopping centers, banks and other lending institutions, borrowers, and court-appointed receivers in virtually every aspect of commercial lease enforcement and commercial foreclosure proceedings.

Vallas joins a national team of financial services attorneys from coast to coast. His addition comes during an exciting period of growth for Polsinelli Shughart. In 2011, the firm opened Dallas and Los Angeles offices, and added more than 39 attorneys nationwide to help meet clients’ needs. The National Law Journal ranked Polsinelli Shughart, “the third fastest growing law firm in the country.”

Vallas is a member of the American Bankruptcy Institute and the Turnaround Management Association. He has been selected for inclusion in Illinois Super Lawyers as a Rising Star in 2010, 2011, and 2012 in Business Litigation and Bankruptcy & Creditor/Debtor Rights. He earned his law degree from Indiana University and his B.A. in Political Economy from Williams College. He is admitted to practice by the Illinois Supreme Court and the U.S. District Court, Northern District of Illinois.
