Duane Morris Atlanta Office Adds Corporate Partner Brian Gannon

Duane Morris is pleased to announce that Brian Gannon has joined the firm’s Corporate Practice Group as a partner in its Atlanta office. Gannon’s arrival bolsters Duane Morris’ growing corporate capabilities in Atlanta and firmwide. He joins Duane Morris from Schiff Hardin LLP.

Gannon focuses his practice in corporate and securities law with emphasis on private equity, mergers and acquisitions and technology matters. He represents publicly and privately held companies in domestic and international mergers and acquisitions, spinoffs and divestitures, and private placements. He also assists with venture capital financings, private equity fund formation, joint ventures, strategic alliances and investments, and leveraged buyouts. In addition, Gannon’s experience encompasses healthcare transactions, technology and intellectual property transfers, including software development; licensing and distribution arrangements; cloud computing arrangements; information technology and business-process outsourcing transactions; and Internet and e-commerce matters.
Gannon has represented Internet service providers, e-commerce providers and enablers, telecommunications service providers, software and systems developers and integrators, technology product and service companies, and franchisors and franchisees. His clients range in size from newly formed startup entities to widely held public corporations.
Gannon is a member of the Technology Association of Georgia and the MIT Enterprise Forum of Atlanta. He is a member of the Corporate and Intellectual Property Law sections of both the Georgia Bar Association and the Atlanta Bar Association. Prior to his private law practice, Gannon was a tax consultant at Arthur Andersen.
Gannon earned his J.D. in 1995 from Boston University School of Law and his B.S. in Finance and Economics in 1991 from Boston College.
