Wragge & Co has strengthened its Paris office with the appointment of two directors.
Joining from her own law firm, Laetitia de Pellegars has 14 years’ experience advising on regulatory and finance issues. Former Eversheds senior associate Alexia Ruleta is a corporate and commercial contracts specialist with vast experience in private equity transactions.
Paris managing partner Simon Lowe said: “The double appointment is an exciting development for the office. Alexia will help support our growing core corporate practice, while Laetitia brings new expertise in regulatory, capital markets and asset management issues. In both, we have high-calibre, commercially-astute lawyers who can help drive our growth ambitions.”
With a legal career starting in 1996 as a capital markets in-house lawyer at Paribas, Laetitia de Pellegars advises French and European banks and asset managers on regulatory, payment, asset management and capital market matters. Achievements include advising on the first payment provider and first mobile payment provider to be authorised in France.
A corporate specialist with 12 years’ experience, Alexia Ruleta advises French and international clients on mergers and acquisitions, company secretarial services and commercial contracts. Experience includes advising a major US-based industrial client on the multi-million dollar disposal of its global computer software business.
Wragge & Co opened its Paris office in April 2010, offering commercial legal advice from some of France’s leading lawyers. With 12 partners, the 60-strong team provides local and international clients with full-service expertise and excellent client service. In April 2011, the office appointed a new Employment team led by former Eversheds partner Valérie Blandeau.
With offices in Birmingham, Brussels, Guangzhou, London, Munich and affiliated offices in Paris, Abu Dhabi and Dubai, Wragge & Co is a commercial law firm advising private and public sector organisations on a full range of legal issues.
