Weil Grows Patent Litigation Practice with Addition of Stephen Shahida as Partner

International law firm Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP today announced that leading patent litigation attorney Stephen Shahida has joined the firm as a partner in its Washington, D.C. office. Shahida joins Weil from McDermott Will & Emery LLP, where he was the local head of IP litigation in their Washington, D.C. office.

“Stephen’s expertise in patent litigation and background in technology make him an excellent addition to our market-leading practice,” said Executive Partner Barry Wolf. “His reputation for successfully handling complex matters precedes him and we are excited to welcome him to the firm.”
“We are delighted that Stephen is joining us. His leadership qualities and experience in a broad range of cases involving the International Trade Commission, district court and the Federal Circuit Court of Appeals make him a great fit for our D.C. office,” said Jared Bobrow, Head of Weil’s Patent Litigation practice group. “His expertise ideally complements that of our other D.C.-based partners and our overall practice.”
