Allen & Overy today announces the appointments of Jim Wickenden and Adam Wells as partners in the U.S. Corporate Finance group.

 

Both partners join from Herbert Smith where they specialised in advising investment banks and corporates on IPOs, private placements, rights issues, block trades and debt offerings. Jim was global head of the Capital Markets and US Securities practice at Herbert Smith and was made partner in 1999. Adam has worked in Herbert Smith’s Capital Markets and US Securities practice for the past seven years and was made partner in 2007.

David Krischer, global head of Allen & Overy’s International Capital Markets practice commented: “Jim and Adam are the perfect complement to our international capital markets practice, combining their senior equity capital markets expertise with our market leading debt capital markets and corporate coverage.”

Allen & Overy’s U.S. Corporate Finance group comprises US qualified lawyers and provides US legal services covering the full range of capital markets and corporate finance work. High yield partner Kevin Muzilla joined the group in 2009 to bolster the group’s European high yield offering.
