Eckert Seamans Adds Telecommunications Attorney James Falvey and Antitrust Lawyer Allen Bachman as Members in its Washington, D.C. Office

Eckert Seamans Cherin & Mellott, LLC, a full-service national law firm, is pleased to announce that James C. Falvey and Allen Bachman have joined the firm’s Washington, D.C. office as Members.

Jim Falvey focuses his practice on telecommunications and other utility matters. Prior to joining the firm, he served as Vice President, Regulatory Affairs and Senior Counsel for Pac-West Telecomm, Inc., where he managed regulatory and legislative matters and successfully addressed a wide variety of regulatory challenges at the federal, state, and local level. Over the past fifteen years, Jim also served in various in-house regulatory counsel and senior leadership roles with CoreTel Communications, Time Warner Telecom, Xspedius Communications, and e.spire Communications. Prior to that time, Jim spent six years in private practice in Washington, D.C. and two years as a legislative assistant to Senator Harry Reid. He earned his J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law and his undergraduate degree, cum laude, from Cornell University. 
Allen Bachman regularly advises clients on a wide range of antitrust, competition, and consumer protection issues, and has extensive experience representing clients in complex commercial litigation and arbitration proceedings. He provides counsel on all aspects of antitrust, competition and consumer protection law. Allen regularly represents clients in Hart-Scott-Rodino merger clearance matters before the Department of Justice Antitrust Division and the Federal Trade commission. He provides antitrust and consumer protection counseling on a wide range of issues, including internal audits and price fixing inquiries, marketing and sales practices, licensing and settlement agreements. Allen also represents clients in complex commercial litigation and arbitration proceedings including antitrust, securities class actions, breach of contract and other general commercial litigation matters. Prior to practicing law, he served as an economic analyst for the U.S. Department of Justice Antitrust Division. Allen earned both his J.D. and undergraduate degrees from the College of William and Mary.
