Mitchell Stabbe to Join Edwards Angell Palmer & Dodge as IP Partner in Washington, DC

The law firm of Edwards Angell Palmer & Dodge LLP (EAPD) is pleased to announce that Mitchell H. Stabbe will join the Firm on September 19 as a Washington, DC-based partner in the Intellectual Property Department.

Stabbe concentrates his practice on trademark law and the developing area of Internet law. He is an experienced trademark prosecutor, as well as a seasoned litigator, having argued trademark infringement and unfair competition actions in federal court, as well as adversarial proceedings before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board. He also advises clients with domain-name and generic top-level domain issues.
“Mitch is an excellent addition to the Firm’s IP Department, and his experience in trademark and Internet matters adds a critical component to our growing D.C. team,” said Scott Wofsy, the chair of EAPD’s IP department.
Stabbe has represented clients in the communications, media, banking, and health care sectors, among many others. Previously, he was a partner at Dow Lohnes. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Rochester and his law degree from University of Chicago Law School. He is admitted to practice in the District of Columbia, Florida and Maryland.
Stabbe’s arrival follows the August 15 announcement of EAPD’s merger with Wildman, Harrold, Allen & Dixon LLP. After the merger takes effect on October 1, 2011, the Firm will be known as Edwards Wildman Palmer, LLP.
