Shearman & Sterling has advised 20/10 Perfect Vision AG on the structuring of the exit from Technolas Perfect Vision GmbH. The global leader in eye-health, Bausch & Lomb has acquired an option from 20/10 Perfect Vision AG to purchase the shares in Technolas Perfect Vision GmbH for a total company value of up to € 450 million.
Technolas Perfect Vision GmbH is a joint venture between 20/10 Perfect Vision AG and Bausch & Lomb, with an emphasis on the development of eye-laser technologies. Technolas Perfect Vision GmbH and Bausch & Lomb are planning to further expand their cooperation on the development of special eye-laser technologies worldwide.
The Shearman & Sterling team included partners Johannes Frey (Munich-Tax) and Bodo Bender (Frankfurt-Tax) as well as associates Norbert Mückl and Stephanie Bruhn (both Munich-Tax).
