Baker & McKenzie advised Knowles Electronics, LLC on the acquisition of NXP Semiconductors Austria GmbH and NXP Semiconductors Beijing Ltd. Through this acquisition, the entire NXP-Sound Solution Business of NXP Semiconductors BV – a former business unit of Philips – will be transferred to Knowles Electronics. The purchase price amounts to USD855 million.

Knowles Electronics, LLC with the corporate headquarters in Itasca, Illinois (USA), is the leading international manufacturer of technically sophisticated micro acoustic products and is part of the Dover Corporation, a US industrial group. Dover Corporation produces components for the communications industry and specializes on innovative equipment, specialty systems and value-added services for the industrial products as well as on fluid management and engineered systems.
