International law firm Taylor Wessing has advised Environmental Technologies Fund (‘ETF’) on a £4.5m investment into UK firm 4energy Ltd; a leading technology company whose service significantly reduces the energy required to cool data centres and telecommunications networks.
4energy had developed an innovative range of cooling products and services that established a real alternative to the conventional methods of dealing with the negative consequences of heat. The investment is to be used to support the Company in its rapid international expansion.
Taylor Wessing is delighted to have worked on the deal involving this forward thinking company at such an exciting stage of its growth.
Simon Walker, partner leading the Taylor Wessing team comments:
“We were delighted to advise Environmental Technologies Fund on this exciting investment and we look forward to the next chapter in 4Energy’s development. Our climate change team has seen much interest in green data centre technologies in recent times as global growth in the IT industry has led to an expanding carbon footprint for the sector. Set against this context, it is easy to see 4Energy’s global potential”.
4energy existing investors include Carbon Trust Investments Limited (advised by CT Investment Partners LLP) and Catapult Growth Fund.
