Simmons & Simmons’ Amsterdam office was officially opened on 12 May 2011 by Amsterdam mayor, Eberhard van der Laan. The mayor gave Simmons & Simmons a warm welcome to Amsterdam and underlined the importance of Simmons & Simmons’ increased presence at Amsterdam Zuidas in the heart of the Netherlands’ financial centre.
Commenting on the opening, Simmons & Simmons’ Managing Partner, Jeremy Hoyland, said: “Our Netherlands practice is already a strong and successful one and is a key part of our international network. The new office, which merges our Amsterdam and Rotterdam practices, is the next step in our strategy for growing our Dutch practice.
