White & Case is legal advisor to the Boards of Directors of Latour and SäkI in connection with the merger of the two companies, both listed on NASDAQ OMX Stockholm.
The combined company will become one of the largest industrial holding companies in Sweden with an estimated net asset value of SEK 25 billion (€2.8 billion/US$3.9 billion), market capitalization of SEK 20 billion and capacity for substantial new investments. The company will have significant ownership positions in the listed companies ASSA ABLOY, Securitas, Sweco, Fagerhult, Loomis, Niscayah, Nederman and HMS Networks. The combined company’s shares will continue to trade on NASDAQ OMX Stockholm, Large Cap. Initially, the new company will have approximately 12,800 shareholders. The shareholders will vote on the merger plan at their respective Annual General Meeting in May.
