Andrew I. Glincher to Assume Role as Nixon Peabody CEO and Managing Partner Effective February 1, 2011

 

Boston, MA. International law firm Nixon Peabody LLP announces that effective February 1, 2011, Andrew I. Glincher will officially assume the role of chief executive officer and managing partner.

Mr. Glincher succeeds Richard F. Langan, Jr., who will continue his practice as a New York corporate attorney and will be actively involved in leadership of the firm’s expansion efforts in the U.S. and abroad. The leadership change was first announced in December 2010 by the firm’s policy committee.

Mr. Glincher, who is based in the firm’s Boston office, joined Nixon Peabody’s predecessor firm Peabody & Brown in 1987. Since 2004, he has served as managing partner of the Boston office, which is the firm’s largest office. Mr. Glincher is a preeminent, nationally recognized attorney who builds and leads significant client service teams. He will continue to represent the firm’s business and real estate clients while serving as CEO and managing partner.

As he transitions to his new role, Mr. Glincher has named the following attorneys to his leadership team:

Paul E. Bouton, Chair of Nixon Peabody’s Regulatory and Real Estate Department. Mr. Bouton, who is based in the firm’s Boston office, is an experienced leader who previously served on the Management Committee in the same role as chair of the firm’s Regulatory and Real Estate Department. Mr. Bouton focuses his practice in the area of multifamily housing finance and development, primarily representing owners and developers of affordable housing developments. He earned his J.D. from Boston College Law School, his M.B.A from University of Connecticut, and a bachelor’s degree from University of Massachusetts.

Jennifer A. Kuenster, Chair of Nixon Peabody’s Litigation and Intellectual Property Department. Ms. Kuenster previously served on the firm’s Management Committee and as co-chair of the Litigation Department of her prior firm before joining Nixon Peabody in 2008. Based in San Francisco, Ms. Kuenster’s practice has an emphasis in products liability. She frequently represents domestic and international product manufacturers, product distributors, and premises owners in asbestos litigation, and has significant experience as national counsel, managing and coordinating litigation in jurisdictions throughout the U.S., including discovery, experts, trial, and local counsel. Ms. Kuenster received her J.D. from University of California Hastings College of the Law and bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of California, Berkeley.

Stephen D. Zubiago, Chair of Nixon Peabody’s Business and Finance Department. Mr. Zubiago is a leading business and transactional attorney and has previously served on the firm’s Management Committee. Mr. Zubiago, who is based in the firm’s Providence, Rhode Island, office, focuses his practice on both health care law and insurance law. He focuses his health care practice on advising a range of health care providers, including hospital systems, hospitals, nursing homes, home health agencies, specialty cancer providers, and physicians, as well as managed care entities, including physician service organizations and physician independent practice associations. Mr. Zubiago is a graduate of Marquette University Law School, J.D., and earned his undergraduate degree from Brown University.

Brian G. Flanagan, operations partner, and Karen B. Greenbaum, chief operations officer, will continue to serve in their current roles and will be a part of the firm leadership team.

Mr. Glincher graduated from Northeastern University School of Law and earned his undergraduate degree in finance, cum laude, from Boston College’s Carroll School of Management. He serves on the faculty of Boston College, where he has taught a course in real estate finance since 1988. Mr. Glincher is immediate past chairman of the board at Hebrew SeniorLife, a nonprofit organization that provides medical and housing services to the elderly. He is also a member of the Board of Directors of the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce.
