Chadbourne Advised Gdansk Economic Development Agency Ltd. on the Development of the Largest Logistics Center in Northern Poland

Chadbourne & Parke advised Gdansk Economic Development Agency Ltd. (InvestGDA), a company established by the City of Gdansk to promote foreign direct investment in the Gdansk Metropolitan Area, on the development of the Pomeranian Logistics Center, the largest logistics center in northern Poland.

The investment project worth of PLN 700 million (US$235 million) will be located on 109 ha (1 090 000 sqm) of land near the Northern Port of Gdansk and Deepwater Container Terminal at Gdansk. Upon completion, the value of the project has the potential to exceed 300 million euro.
The investor, awarded the tender for the exclusive investment is Goodman Group, an integrated property group that owns, develops and manages industrial property and business space in Poland and globally. The contract was signed on December 17, 2010, by the president of the City of Gdansk, representatives of the investor and Chadbourne’s client, InvestGDA.
The work on the development of the project will commence in 2011 and will continue in stages throughout the next ten years.
