Shearman & Sterling advised Essar Global Limited as sponsor and its subsidiary, Essar Steel Minnesota LLC (ESM), as project company in connection with the financing of their approximately $1.097 billion Integrated Iron Ore Pellet Plant Project in Northern Minnesota.

Once completed, the project will be a fully-integrated iron ore extraction to pellet processing facility which will include an open pit mine as well as an approximately 4.1 million ton per annum pellet manufacturing plant. Essar Global Limited is a diversified multinational business with operations in steel, energy, power, infrastructure and construction, among others.
