Preato Capital has sold Sefina Finance to Dollar Financial Group U.K. Ltd. The consideration for the shares is approximately SEK 300 million, of which approximately SEK 200 million was paid in cash at closing, and the remaining SEK 100 million to be paid in cash installments during 2011. In addition, the seller is entitled to additional cash payments over the next two years based on the financial performance of the divested business.
The Sefina Finance group includes Sefina Svensk Pantbelåning, the largest pawnbroker in Sweden and in the Nordic region with 16 offices in Sweden, Helsingin Pantti, the oldest pawnbroker in Finland with 12 offices in Finland and also Helsingin Huutokauppakamari. The Sefina group has 125 employees. Preato Capital is a privately held investment company based in Finland.
