International legal practice Norton Rose LLP has advised Energees Investments, the principal holding company of the Smart Holding Group, one of the largest Ukrainian based holding companies, on its public takeover offer for AIM-listed Regal Petroleum plc.
A recommended all cash offer was announced on 10 December 2010. The offer values Regal Petroleum plc’s share capital at approximately £77 million.
Regal Petroleum plc is a gas exploration company with its primary assets in Ukraine.
The London team is being led by corporate partners Paul Whitelock and Raj Karia, with assistance from associates James Pullen, Emma Howes and Rob Cartledge. US securities advice is being provided by Tom Vita and Kevin Connolly; Mark Jones and Joosje Hamilton are providing anti-trust advice; Dominic Stuttaford and Ed Denny are advising on tax while Monique Fry and Liron Cohen are advising on incentives.
