Shearman Advises on $3.25 Billion Dual-Tranche Loan for Pemex

Shearman & Sterling advised the joint bookrunners and joint lead arrangers in a $2 billion term loan and a $1.25 billion revolving credit facility for Petróleos Mexicanos (Pemex).

With respect to the $2 billion 5-year term loan, Shearman & Sterling advised Banco Inbursa, S.A. Institución de Banca Múltiple, Grupo Financiero Inbursa, BBVA Securities Inc., BNP Paribas Securities Corp., Citigroup Global Markets Inc., Credit Agricole Corporate and Investment Bank and HSBC Securities Inc. as joint bookrunners and joint lead arrangers.

With respect to the $1.25 billion 3-year revolver, Shearman & Sterling represented Banc of America Securities LLC, Barclays Bank Plc, BBVA Securities Inc., Credit Agricole Corporate and Investment Bank and RBS Securities as joint bookrunners and joint lead arrangers.

Pemex received commitments from 17 banks, not including the leads. Deutsche, Goldman Sachs, Intesa Sanpaolo, Credit Suisse, Societe Generale, Bayern LB, JP Morgan, SMBC, Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi, Mizuho, Morgan Stanley, Banco Santander, Natixis, EDC, DZ Bank, Bank of New York and Scotia all participated.
