Lawyers from the London office of K&L Gates LLP have advised Laing O’Rourke Plc on the recently-closed £50m project financing, construction, and renovation of state secondary schools in the east London borough of Barking and Dagenham.
Laing O’Rourke was announced as the preferred bidder for the project in June 2010, with the project closing last week. Laing O’Rourke Construction Limited serves as construction contractor, with The Co-operative Bank Plc as lenders. London projects partner Cathy Harris led the K&L Gates team advising Laing O’Rourke, along with project finance partner Stephen Moller.
