International Offices Hit Hard

The international offices of our nations largest law firms were hit drastically by the recession in 2009. DLA Piper for instance, laid off 10.6% of its London office. In 2008 the office had 424 attorneys and now has 379. Jones Day cut 18% of its Hong Kong office, going from 61 attorneys to 50. White & Case shut down its Bangkok, dismissing 44 attorneys.
