Ashurst has a list of six firms for the purpose of receiving referrals. The firm landed in the US in February of this year with the hiring of 11 structured finance partners from McKee Nelson. This is the first real attempt to get into the US market since its plan to merge with Fried Frank Harris Shriver & Jacobson failed about ten years ago.
